The Hugging Face organization was renamed to moonshine-ai; the old id redirects to the new one. The weights and the MIT license are unchanged - verified 2026-08-22. Training for this model used those same weights.) The tokenizer and the model architecture are carried over from that model without modification, so MIT-licensed material from Useful Sensors, Inc. is redistributed as part of this repository. WHAT WAS CHANGED (required - Apache License 2.0, Section 4(b)) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Relative to the base model, the following was changed: - All weights were updated by full fine-tuning on Japanese speech (ReazonSpeech v2 "all", 35,000 hours, 2 epochs). - No change was made to the architecture, the vocabulary, or the tokenizer. - ONNX / ORT graphs were newly exported from the fine-tuned weights and are distributed alongside them. TRAINING DATA ATTRIBUTION -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ReazonSpeech v2 (reazon-research/reazonspeech) https://huggingface.co/datasets/reazon-research/reazonspeech License: Community Data License Agreement - Sharing, Version 1.0 (CDLA-Sharing-1.0) No other corpus was used to train the distributed weights. CDLA-Sharing-1.0 Section 3.5 states: "This Agreement imposes no obligations or restrictions on Your Use or Publication of Results." Trained model weights are Results within the meaning of Section 1.11. This attribution is therefore given as good practice, not as a license obligation, and it does NOT place CDLA-Sharing-1.0 terms on users of this model. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 4. PATENT GRANT - SCOPE (read this before relying on it) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The patent license in Section 3 of the Apache License 2.0 is granted by the contributors to THIS work - that is, by the copyright holder named above, and it covers the contribution made here (the Japanese fine-tuning and the exported ONNX / ORT graphs). The base model is distributed under the MIT License, which is silent on patents. Useful Sensors, Inc. has therefore NOT granted any patent license covering the underlying Moonshine architecture, and no such grant is or can be conveyed by this repository. NAME AND TRADEMARK -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is an INDEPENDENT model. It is not produced, endorsed, or supported by Moonshine AI / Useful Sensors, Inc. "Moonshine" is used in this repository only to identify the base model, as required for attribution under the MIT License. No trademark rights are claimed or granted, and neither the MIT License nor the Apache License 2.0 grants any trademark license. This model is NOT derived from the official Japanese Moonshine models (moonshine-tiny-ja / moonshine-base-ja) or from any of their converted or quantized variants. Those models are distributed under the Moonshine AI Community License (non-commercial, revocable) and were deliberately excluded from every part of the training lineage - initial weights, tokenizer, and decoder weights alike. They were used only as benchmark baselines, which that license explicitly permits ("evaluation and testing").
